Well we are off to Spain for 2 weeks of glorious sunshine (just as it comes out here!). To say that the Dean trip abroad is akin to “Muldoons picnic” is a bit of an understatement. Not only are we taking our own kids, aged 7, 6 and 2X2 respectively, but my 6 year old niece is coming as well. I am thinking of asking my brother to return the favour next year!
I am quite determined to have a restful and stress free holiday and have approached the trip like a military operation. Here are my efforts so far:
1. Have reserved seats on the plane (at the back) and checked in on the Internet.
2. Have booked Tesco shopping delivery for the day of return.
3. Have instructed the “lovely Lynda” my own domestic goddess cleaner and general stress reliever to get milk and bread out of the freezer the day before our return.
4. Rather than take large, bulky double 3 wheeler buggy, we are hiring 2 single buggy’s in Spain. I have added to the order 1 X potty (yes we are about to start that again!), a box of toys for the twins and a selection of blow up beach toys, buckets and spades. The lovely people at www.all4kidshire.com are going to bring them to the Airport.
5. I have written a shopping list for the Spanish supermarket to be visited en route to our villa.
6. Cars will be ready for us at Murcia airport.
7. Planned BBQ for 1st night.
If this holiday is not stress free, I will eat my hat. Be prepared for the next instalment!
